The people in the music industry right now trying to establish themselves as icons are so blatantly unconcerned with advancing music and much more interested in catering to a formula that will guarantee a hit and making it look like they have every intention of being a truly artistic icon. I would rather revert to an era of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera over this shit. Things are that awful.

Taylor Swift isn’t an artist or a musician — she’s a mannequin with poseable arms. They squeeze her chest and she emits a foul squeaking noise, which they then twist into certain notes using digital technology.
This is a new age of music, thanks to a variety of distribution methods brought on by the Internet. Anyone still hooked on FM Radio, American Idol, MTV, the Grammies, etc must like being brainwashed robots.
This poor soul could not even keep in key while performing with Stevie Nicks last night. Her pitch was all over the stage. Unbelievable. How the members and american public, for that matter could vote continuously for such a no-talent is beyond me.
uhh…. really guys? Why on earth do any of you think manufactured pop artists are this new trend in music?!! It has ALWAYS been this way and the Grammys have ALWAYS been the thing giving them undeserved awards and praise. Pop artists like this have been around since the begining of pop music. I really don’t see why you are all acting shocked and angry at this?

This is just another money making scheme. Everything from the awards to the performances. To the record companies and the public, an attractive girl = a talented singer.
