Video Jam of the Day- Hellogoodbye - “When We First Met”

Not only are they the best emo-pop band around, Hellogoodbye are also aces at making videos that display all the rambunctious and awkward charm of their music. Whether it’s a lovingly recreated summer camp homage for “Here (In Your Arms),” good time beach antics on “Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn” or wistful high school hi-jinks on “Baby It’s Fact,” the group — and especially endearingly geeky singer Forrest Kline — knows how to make videos work for them. On their new single “When We First Met,” they match the buoyantly poppy tune with a super cute video that tells the story of a couple through the length of their hair. Okay, it’s twee and precious, but it’s also very, very sweet and if you don’t like it you’re a crankypants.
Also!
And also…are Hellogoodbye to blame/thank for all the autotune in emopop? Has anyone done it better? Send your answers in on a postcard…

Dude sounds like guy from Ra Ra Riot here.
It’s interesting to see yall giving notice a band’s music video. This certainly is a fine band with their best video yet, but seeing you guys take a moment to talk them up is pretty cool.
But last I heard (in an interview with Alternative Press), Forrest regretted using AutoTune and isn’t going to do it much any more.
And for pete’s sakes, can someone please review the House of Heroes album The End Is Not the End?!?!!?
I love this hellogoodbye video.I am really excited for their new music to come out!
