The Met’s Live in HD Summer Series

For opera fans in the New York City area, the Metropolitan Opera is offering free screenings of ten productions originally broadcast during the first three seasons of its series, The Met Live in HD. The operas will run on ten consecutive nights, shown outside on the Lincoln Center Plaza, weather permitting. There are 2800 seats available on a first come, first served basis, so plan to arrive early! The schedule after the jump:
Donizetti: La Fille du Régiment – August 29 at 8 pm
Gounod: Roméo et Juliette – August 30 at 7:30 pm
Tchaikovsky: Eugene Onegin – August 31 at 7:45 pm
Verdi: Macbeth – September 1 at 8 pm
Rossini: Il Barbiere di Siviglia – September 2 at 7:45 pm
Britten: Peter Grimes – September 3 at 7:45 pm
Puccini: La Bohème – September 4 at 8 pm
Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice – September 5 at 8 pm
Puccini: Il Trittico – September 6 at 7:30pm
Puccini: Madama Butterfly – September 7 at 8:00 pm
