“Chinese Democracy, Guns N’ Roses’ first new album in 17 years, was released last November, costing more than $13m (£7.9m) to record.”
How in the world does it cost $13 million to record some songs?
Those are some expensive psychics Axl Rose hired I guess.
Because “Chinese Democracy”… it’s not just an album, it’s an entire industry in and of itself. The Guns n Roses name means billion folks….
but you knew that.
and then think of all the people involved in making the whole shenanigan simply exist.. equipment managers and technical people who string together the 11 echo-chambers from Mars.. and the people who work the gears.
Stay and watch the credits at the end of your next multi-plex motion picture show experience, and try to count the number of people involved in yer average BlockBuster Film.
Now think about Gun n Roses.
Wait. Are we talking about the cost of the actual, final sessions to record ‘Chinese Democracy’, or is $13mil counting the cost of Axl recording it, scrapping it, recording it, scrapping it, firing his band, hiring them back, recording it, putting it on hiatus, tinkering with it, and finally releasing it?
That pic of D’arcy is weird/cool.
