Video Jam of the Day: The Lodger - I Think I Need You
June 18th, 2009 | 12:07 pm est |
The Lodger were responsible for one of the best indie pop records of last year, Life Is Sweet, and one of the best pop jams in a dog’s age, “The Good Old Days.” If smartly dressed lads (and lass) playing buttoned-up, crisp-as-freshly-pressed-trousers pop floats your boat, look no further. “I Think I Need You” is a track from a new single to be released by the increasingly awesome Elefant Records (yeah, them again!) on June 29th. The song is just as good as anything from the LP, maybe even more focused and poptastic. The next album, which they are currently recording for release hopefully later this year, is eagerly awaited around here to say the least!

Wow I’m loving these guys I hadn’t been aware of them until now, many thanks for your continued great work guys!
the world does not need another xylophone heavy yawn band.
I’ve been in love with this track, since I discovered this video earlier in June. Add me to the list of those eagerly awaiting this release!
[It’s hard to drive around with your windows down and car-stereo cranked 11, when the track is only available via a youtube stream…. the wait will be over soon enough.]
