Hot Damn Jamz Sweet Sixteen Bash
May 21st, 2009 | 4:26 pm est |

For HDJ’s sweet sixteen party we’d like a bash at Club Traxx for all 800 of our friends with live performances by Frat Dad, Granada Doaba, Tall Turds and Young Governor. Also, can Alfonso Ribeiro be there to MC and maybe bust some moves? Make it happen, okay?
Alak
Jocelyn Jade Noir’s experimental folk/electronic project is cold, messy, and really weird.
Frat Dad
Treat yourself and bust through the layers of noise to uncover the pop melodies of Frat Dad! Check “Unit Lunch” and “Summer Bummer”
Granada Doaba
A flamenco/hip-hop fusion could be a mess, but this collective makes Arabic and Spanish melodies soar over complex beats — think Rough Guide meets DJ Shadow.
The Homophones
Moody pop stylings from Philly.
Tall Turds
Tall Turds bring the dirty, bluesy garage shitcore punk to the maxx!
Twisty Cat
Twisty Cat is an unexpected name for a bass clarinet, baritone saxophone and electronics combination. Sometimes ambient, sometimes noisy.
Yoke & Yohs
Danish Yoke & Yohs bring the ruckus on baritone sax and drums, like a super stoned Lightning Bolt: Not your Mama’s Morphine.
Young Governor
Though it might sound like vintage punk, “Summer Girl” isn’t a lost Wipers B-side, it’s a new jam by Fucked Up’s guitarist Young Guv.

we’ll do a live show your party, but you better have enough food + purple drink for 16 gypsy japanese mo’roccan mofos
Good stuff, like always! Keep them coming!
