Great list, but wish that Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” made it! :) One of my favorite country albums of the year.
A lot of those are reissues/ Greatest Hits.
Nice to see Buck Owens and Merle Haggard on here, as well as Brad Paisley and Lee Ann Womack. I would have added “Leaving Town” by Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, even though it is technically Bluegrass.
Also, “Sleepless Nights” by Patty Loveless and “Around the Bend” by Randy Travis were good cds.
Ryan Bingham’s ‘Mescalito’ was an overlooked gem. Either had to be here or in Americana. Nice list though, Thanks!
What about hank 3 ?
HANK III is the most underappreciated and over looked country musician around today.
What about Ashton Shepherd? Album of the year, in any genre!
Nice. Banger > Taylor Swift + Mom Jeans
