Jerry Garcia Producers are developing a biopic on Grateful Dead founder Jerry Garcia. The film, based on Robert Greenfield’s book Dark Star, will purportedly focus on Garcia’s early days living in the Bay Area before launching the Grateful Dead. [Billboard.com]

The Faces are considering a reunion, according to Rod Stewart. In a recent interview, the singer said all the original members of the classic ’70s rock band — save for the late bassist Ronnie Lane, who passed in 1997 — are getting together to rehearse while eyeing a possible reunion project. Rapper Lupe Fiasco has intimated that his next album may also be his last. The cryptic statements came during a recent Halloween show. Furthermore, Fiasco allegedly confirmed the decision with Billboard as early as last December, telling that trade publication that his upcoming record, titled LupEND, will be his final effort. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ vocalist Anthony Kiedis has signed a deal to develop his 2004 autobiography Scar Tissue into an HBO drama series. As with the book, the show will focus on Keidis’ childhood in Los Angeles, where he grew up during the 1970s alongside his father, a rumored drug dealer for such rock superstars as The Who and Led Zeppelin.
