  That ad is certainly a nice rundown of the formats in use in 1989: CD, LP, cassette and the CD maxi single. The only thing missing is a 3″ CD single.

  It’s also surprising that they crammed “more than an hour of music” onto the LP; it must’ve sounded awful.
