R.I.P. rocksteady reggae pioneer Alton Ellis, who succumbed to lymphatic cancer at age 70. Known as “the Godfather of Rocksteady,” Ellis had a string of hits in the ’60s and continued to perform until this August, when he collapsed onstage during a performance in London. [CanadianPress.com]
