Where is Jill Scott's "The Real Thing"? She is one of the strongest and consistent artists within R&B today. I argue she had one of the best albums in 2007.

It strikes me as interesting that in the allmusic review of "Back to Black," the dap-kings are not mentioned once. That seems more than a slight, as the sound of that record would have been impossible without them. Think about it.

Good call for Bettye LaVette, an album that has slipped under many people's radar but deservedly worth a mention.

oh and the Dap-Kings had an album out recently didn't they (or it's due soon)...I know that the record label were going to push this on the digital services somewhat, but not sure if this has happened?

Should be worth a listen anyhow...

I really like Keyshia's breakthrough, but I strongly recommened to reconsider if Diddy's Press Play didn't deserve the 4,5 stars more! To me it's the sister album to Life After Death, emphasis on sister.
